There are more than 400,000 Karen people living in Thailand. They live in the mountains and on the plains, most of them in the provinces of Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son, Chiang Rai but also in central Thailand.
The Karen people are very peaceful and cooperative, and are completely amenable to the other hill-tribes.
As refugees, many of the children's parents do not have legal status to work and gain proper employment thereby they are unable to provide proper education, food nor clothing for their children.

The situation is worse for orphans with no one to love and care for them. While other children has the love and care of their parents, someone who would provide for them their food, clothing and nice toys on their birthdays and new year, orphan children has none of these luxury.
The lucky ones are able to live in the care of foster parents and orphanages, while the rest living out there staying on makeshifts or streets out in the cold the whole night in hunger.
Unlike adults, children depend on adults like us to provide them with the love and care they need and deserve like everyone else. |

Our aim is to setup a small group that will jointly support a group of 100 Poor and Orphan Children.
We will gradually increase that number as more parties joins us.
WHY FORM A GROUP?
We do this to ensure better control and management of the funds which we have provided for the children. As a group, we can receive accurate updates of the children through the visits by any of our group members.
HOW MUCH PER CHILD?
Each children will be provided with a daily allowance of US$1 per day - that's less than the price of a burger! So each child is US$30 per month - (a) US$10 will be used for food (b) US$10 for education and (c) US$10 for housing & clothing.
